About The Event

Facebook Info

We have been asked some questions relating to pitch fees and facilities for the planned meet in August. While updating everyone on the fees/facilities we feel it’s appropriate to remind everyone that we need to adhere to the current government guidance relating to COVID-19.

The meet is planned to commence on the 7th August 11am (Friday) to run through to Sunday (9th) in the afternoon.  As requested we have found a field associated with a campsite in Warmington (same field used in VanJam1). The campsite team charge £10 per vehicle per night (£20 for Friday through Sunday). All monies collected will go directly to the landowners to cover their costs. We initially planned to meet on the campsite (as opposed to the rally field), however this is now either partly or full booked for some months.

Facilities, now as many are aware due to government rules relating to COVID-19 secure environments, many campsites are not offering toilet or shower facilities. This campsite is no different! Please be aware that the campsite toilet/shower block is closed to all (campsite and rally field). The landowners will provide 3no porta-loos, an elson chemical/waste disposal point and tapped drinking water. All attendees will be responsible for their own sanitation to include toilet roll, portable toilet (bring your porta-bog if you have one), hand sanitiser, soap, face coverings etc.

As everyone’s aware that we are currently in a pandemic and strict social distancing rules apply (in all settings). The government continuously issues guidance relating to social distancing, sanitation and other steps to reduce the risk of virus spread. If anyone would like me to forward the current government guidance please let me know (happy to email a copy).

The rally field is an ideal setting for like minded classic van owners to meet. The field is big enough to hold a socially distant meet following COVID-19 rules applied to campsites. We would ask that all participants respect the social distancing rules at all times! We understand the excitement of finally seeing cool vans and like minded classic van owners, but everyone needs to respect the rules and their fellow attendees. Anyone flouting the rules will be asked to leave.

As mentioned earlier the facilities are sparse due to the COVID-19. I would liken the meet to a wild camp, so bring all your essentials and don’t forget your sanitiser, masks, toilet paper and if you have one a porta-loo.

Please look after yourselves and each other! The Vanditos team are looking forward to seeing you all, excited ;)
